Land Tax Review Success
2019 saw a huge lift in Valuer General issued land values resulting in skyrocketing Land Tax bills. Given the market went backwards in 2018 this raised a lot of eyebrows. Our expert Valuer, Alex Catania, led a number of objections, demanding reviews for a number of clients. After almost a year of back and forth we have now had a number of successful outcomes;
- Inner West, consolidated lots in 2017, clerical error, charged 2019 value only, not averaged for 3 years. Client refunded $20,000
- Inner West, house in B5 zone, land value reduced from $1.45m to $1.125m
- Inner West, house in B4 zone, land value reduced from $1.27m to $900,000
- Inner West, Heritage Listed house, land value reduced from $1.83m to $1.66m
- City of Sydney, Heritage Listed house, land value reduced from $2.78m to $2.5m
- Canterbury Bankstown, shop with right of way, land value reduced from $1.12m to $830,000
- Liverpool, land zoned R2, SP2 & RE1 reduced from $6.94m to $5.9m
- Canada Bay, zoned IN1 reduced from $9.52m to $8.615m
